My dream vacation

Hi everyone !
This week I'm going to talk about travels, but specially where I will like to go in my dream vacations. To be honest, I have never been on a trip out of Chile, so as you can imagine my dream vacations will take place in another country... I think maybe I already talked about this place in another blog but it's only because I really want to know this magnificent phenomenon.
My favorite vacations would know the boreal auroras, they are near to north pole, so I will have to go to some place near to that, no directly to the north pole 'cause it's too cold and I don't even know if it is allowed to go there.
The countries that are near to north pole are Canada, U.S (Alaska state), Norway, Greenland, Philippines, and some others. I will choose Norway 'cause I heard that they have a very high quality of life, so I think I will be comfortable and safe there, also I have seen pictures on Internet and looks like a very nice place.
When I'm done to study and have some money save, I will definitely go to Norway to see boreal auroras.

My favorite subject this semester

Hi everyone
Today's blog is about my favorite subject this semester. Well this is my first semester at the university so the courses that I have are most of all for general formation, the basic things that you should know for a chemistry career, but nothing very deeply related to the pharmacy career, even so I like the subjects that I have. I think one of the most that I like is  General Chemistry 1  'cause I really like chemist, always have been my favorite subject and is one of the reasons why I'm here studying Chemistry and Pharmacy, it's a theoretical class but the beautiful side of the chemistry is that you can bring this knowledge to a practical way into a laboratory, and this take us to my second favorite course called Laboratory Techniques.
For me this is the most fun course in a certain way, because is the only practical course that we have in the career and we can work in the lab like a real scientific. We only do basic stuff like filtrations or preparing solutions, but nothing very complicated yet. The truth is I don't like much some of the teachers 'cause I think they don't explain well the classes, so if I could, I will change some of the professors... but anyway I still love the course

Rosalind Franklin

Hi everyone !

When you think women in chemestry the first that you tought it's Marie Curi, I bet you. But not, today I'm not going to talk about her, instead of, I will present you Rosalind Franklin, who was a very smart person, even considerate the most importat woman to the modern sciencie, but never given enough credit.
Rosalind Franklin was born in 1920 in London, England. At the edge of 15 she already demonstrated a lot of talent in chemistry, biology and physics, but she was very criticize for the society only for the fact that she was a woman. Even so, she studied chesmistry and physics in Cambridge University. A couple of years later, she began to work as investigator in King's College from London, here Franklin was part of a DNA proyect where she discovered the structure of DNA, but the sad part is that this descoverd was stolen from her, 'cause her work partner tooked the photo that tested the DNA structure and showed to another scientist who used her photo to publish the discovered without given credits to Rosalind (even they won a noble prize because of her)  5 years more latter, she died from cancer without recognition.
I choose her 'cause a few years ago I readed her history and make me feel very angry and sad 'cause she did a big discovered and was stolen from her, like a said it before, she died ingloriously, without the recognitions that she deserved, so this post goes in memory of her and all of the science women that don't recive enough credit for their work.
